After trailing Boston by 14 1/2 games a couple of months ago we are now a game and a half behind the green monster. What is happening to the Boston Red Sox?

The key to the current down slide are the injuries. And every team has problems when it come to the health of their players. Some players are really injured and some players are… mental. I mean some players take their problems into their heads mentally and cannot perform properly. Case in point – Manny Ramirez. ESPN cited that in the past two years Manny has only played 19 games in September. NINETEEN in TWO years! But you see, in Manny’s defense he’s injured. Really?
News reporter – “Hey doc, what’s the injury report on Manny Ramirez”.
Boston’s team doctor – “Well see, he has a sort of a twinge.”
News reporter – “Is this a re-occurring twinge”
Boston’s team doctor – “Apparently.”
And apparently the twinge is also being felt on the backside of Boston as well. Regardless how well Manny and the Sox’s are not playing, they will make to the playoffs, that’s for sure. Whether they will win the pennant is really up to them.
